Router9 offers flat monthly pricing per agent plan — no per-token billing.

Choosing a Plan
- Free — Great for testing and personal projects with low usage
- Assistant — Ideal for production agents with moderate traffic and full model access
- Engineer — Built for high-volume agents needing maximum throughput and all skills
Managing Your Subscription
Upgrading
- Go to Profile → Plan
- Click Upgrade on your desired plan
- Complete checkout via Stripe
- New limits take effect immediately
Cancelling
- Go to Profile → Plan
- Click Cancel Subscription
- Your plan remains active until the end of the current billing period
- After cancellation, the agent reverts to the Free tier
Billing Dashboard
Access billing details at Profile → Billing:
Account Balance
Your account has a prepaid balance for pay-as-you-go charges. Top up with preset amounts ($10, $25, $50, $100) via Stripe.
Fleet Summary
View all your agent plans, their subscription tiers, and monthly costs at a glance. The total fleet cost is displayed prominently.
Transaction History
A complete ledger of all billing activity:
- Credits — Top-ups and refunds (shown in green with
+prefix) - Charges — Subscription fees and usage charges (shown with
-prefix)
Each transaction shows the date, description, amount, and status.
Payment Management
Click Manage Billing to open the Stripe customer portal where you can:
- Update payment methods
- View invoices
- Manage billing details
Multi-Agent Billing
Each agent plan has its own subscription. Your total monthly cost is the sum of all agent subscriptions. The Fleet Summary on the billing page shows the breakdown.
FAQs
Do you charge per token? No. Router9 uses flat monthly pricing. You pay a fixed fee per agent plan regardless of token usage. Rate limits prevent runaway costs.
What happens when I hit a rate limit?
The API returns a 429 status code with a Retry-After header. Your agent can retry after the specified time, or you can upgrade to a higher plan for more capacity.
Can I use Router9 with any AI framework? Yes. Router9 is a drop-in replacement for the OpenAI API. Any framework that supports custom OpenAI base URLs works out of the box.
